We are launching "VaultTV," a new FAST channel dedicated to 1940s-1980s TV shows and movies that have been upscaled for modern displays without losing their original charm. Our tagline is: "Timeless Classics. Restored for Modern Screens."
We are looking for an experienced motion graphics designer to create our channel’s visual identity, including a logo, animated network bugs, and templated broadcast bumpers.
Design Style & Vibe:
A sleek, modern-meets-mid-century retro aesthetic.
Scope of Work & Deliverables:
1. Logo Design & Animated Network Bug
* Design: A modernized, sleek "neon tube" cursive style for the name "VaultTV".
* Animation: The animation should start as a straight glowing line that draws/forms "VaultTV" in cursive, and then exits the frame to complete the loop.
* Usage: We need a full logo animation (including our tagline and "by LCARStv" underneath), as well as a transparent fade-in/fade-out animated version to use as a corner network bug during shows. (Note: I have an AI-generated mockup I will share with applicants).
2. Intro / Outro Transitions
* Concept: Inspired by classic Boomerang bumpers (Reference: https://youtu.be/fCygdQvgaW4).
* Flow: Start with a quick rotation of promo clips, pull away to reveal them playing on an old, generic vintage TV (un-restored footage). A transition bar/wipe crosses the screen to reveal a modern TV playing the upscaled/restored version of the clip. This resolves into the neon logo animation and tagline described above.
3. "Up Next" Bumpers
* Concept: A snaking film strip coming down the middle of the screen.
* Layout: The right side will feature video clips of the currently highlighted "Up Next" show, which then swaps to the "Later" show. The left side will house the dynamic text (e.g., "Up Next", "Later", and broadcast times). The rest of the screen is up to your creative discretion.
Technical & Audio Requirements:
* Adobe Source Files: All deliverables MUST be provided as Adobe source files (After Effects / Premiere).
* Templated Setup: The bumpers and transitions must be set up as easy-to-use templates so our team can easily swap out promo video clips, show titles, and time text.
* Audio: Sound design and background music are up to your creative discretion, but please leave room in the audio mix as we will be inserting our own professional voiceover narration over the bumpers.
To Apply:
Please provide:
* A quote and estimated timeline for the total project.
* Links to your portfolio or reel (specifically highlighting broadcast graphics, typography animation, or retro/modern aesthetic work).
* A brief note on how you would approach the Adobe template setup for our ongoing use.
