I operate a Canada-based company and need an accountant who can take full charge of our quarterly tax filings and handle any correspondence that comes back from the CRA. The immediate priority is responding to a notice we have just received, then preparing the next set of returns on schedule so we stay compliant going forward.
My focus is strictly on tax filing—bookkeeping and formal financial-statement preparation are already covered in-house, though familiarity with them is welcome if it helps you understand our numbers more quickly. Each quarter I will forward you our trial balance, source documents, and the CRA letter (when applicable). I expect you to review, prepare the appropriate schedules, e-file, and draft a clear reply or adjustment package for the CRA, citing the relevant sections of the Income Tax Act when required.
Please attach examples of past work that show you have successfully filed Canadian corporate returns and resolved CRA queries. If your sample includes redacted T2 schedules, notice of assessment adjustments, or correspondence you authored, even better—it helps me gauge your style and thoroughness.
Deliverables each quarter:
• Completed T2 return (and any related schedules) ready for e-filing
• Written response or clarification package addressing every point in the CRA letter
• Brief summary of issues spotted and recommendations to avoid future flags
Accuracy, quick turnaround, and a professional tone with the CRA are critical; I’d like someone who can continue with us quarter after quarter if this first engagement goes smoothly.
