Convert Word Docs to Text

I have a set of printed pages whose source files are available as Word documents, but I only need the raw text extracted—no styling, no spacing tricks, no bold or italics. Simply re-type what you read so the final result is clean, continuous plain text that mirrors the wording line for line.

Accuracy is more important than speed: punctuation, capitalisation, and paragraph breaks must remain exactly as on the page, yet any other formatting can be ignored. Please deliver the finished work in a single .txt file (UTF-8) or, if you prefer, in a minimally formatted .docx that I can copy-paste from without extra tags.
