I have several normal, text-based PDF files that each contain one or more tables. I need every table brought into Excel in a way that lets me immediately sort, filter, and run formulas without fighting with merged cells or awkward formatting.

Here is how I’d like the final workbook to look and behave:

• Each PDF gets its own worksheet, named after the file.
• Column headers must be in the first row, one header per column.
• No merged cells, repeating header rows, or blank spacer rows—everything should be clean and tabular so the built-in filter buttons work out of the box.

The PDFs are all digital (no scans), so you will not need OCR. Feel free to use the method you are most comfortable with—Power Query, Adobe Acrobat’s export, Python’s tabula-py, etc.—as long as the result is an .xlsx file that matches the points above.

Before you begin the full batch, please convert one PDF and send it for a quick check so we can be sure the structure is right.
