I’ve got a collection of PDFs that combine formal tables with narrative paragraphs and bullet-style lists. I need every table row and every line of text moved into a single, tidy Excel workbook so that I can sort, filter, and run formulas without wrestling with odd formatting.
What has to come across
• All tables exactly as they appear in the PDFs, each on its own sheet or clearly separated in one sheet.
• All narrative paragraphs and list items placed logically—one sentence or list point per cell works well—so nothing ends up merged or hidden.
Formatting expectations
Standard Excel formatting is all I’m after: clear rows and columns, default fonts, and numeric values preserved as numbers. No need to replicate fonts, colours, or layout quirks from the original PDF. Accuracy and clean structure matter far more than cosmetic fidelity.
Tools are up to you—whether you lean on Adobe Acrobat, OCR utilities, Power Query, or a custom script—as long as the final .xlsx file opens without warnings and mirrors the source content item for item.
Before we wrap up, I’ll spot-check a few tables and text sections against the originals; once everything matches, the task is complete.
