I have a complete controller-level Bill of Materials that includes microcontrollers, capacitors, position sensors, IPMs, N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs. The immediate goal is to drive the overall cost down without sacrificing reliability or long-term availability.

Most of the boards now work with a mix of TI, Infineon, yageo, ATMEL, Microchip and STMicroelectronics devices, but I’m open to shifting to any pin-compatible or firmware-friendly alternative if it meaningfully trims the price. The same mindset applies to passive and power parts: if you can source a spec-matched capacitor, MOSFET or IGBT that lowers the piece price and is easy to get from the usual sources - China/Taiwan and their local distributors in India, i am open to it. Would prefer a Chinese/Taiwanese national who can speak working English and well versed with the local manufacturers and distributors for this role

Deliverables
• Reviewed BOM (spreadsheet or Altium/OrCAD export) with side-by-side alternate part numbers
• Price comparison table showing current vs. proposed unit and reel pricing at 1 k / 10 k quantities
• Availability snapshot (lead time, lifecycle status) for every suggested part
• Brief engineering note for any component that needs firmware or layout tweaks

Acceptance criteria
The alternate set must meet or exceed the original electrical specs, be orderable today, and demonstrate a clear cost reduction per assembly.

If this is in your wheelhouse, let’s talk.
electronics microcontroller electrical engineering pcb layout bill of materials (bom) analysis supply chain sourcing component engineering manufacturing engineering power electronics & battery management (bms)
