I am looking for an experienced Structural Engineer or Civil Engineering Consultant based in North India to provide a comprehensive professional consultation for my family property. The building is located in Baldeo, Uttar Pradesh (Pin Code: 281301). If the initial consultation and feasibility study are successful, this will turn into a long-term engagement for the full structural design, blueprint layout, and execution process.
Property Technical Details:
Structure: 30-year-old, 2-floor building.
Materials: Built using traditional load-bearing brick walls. The roofs/ceilings are made of stone slabs (pattiya/pattar) supported by iron channels (gatiya).
Dimensions: Front width is 30 feet, which gradually tapers down to 22 feet at the back end. The total length of the property is 140 feet.
Major Challenge: The ground floor currently sits 7-10 inches below the main road level. Doesn't look good for commercial purposes compared to newly built shops.
Scope of Work for Initial Consultation:
Level & Drainage Strategy: Advise on the best engineering solution to tackle the 6-foot depth issue relative to the road without risking structural collapse.
Load-Bearing Assessment: Evaluate the strength of the existing brick and iron channel ceiling to determine safe limits for modifications.
Tapered Layout Optimisation: Provide structural guidance on safely modifying internal walls along the narrowing 140-foot length.
