I have a conical compression spring already defined by its wire diameter, large and small outside diameters, and free length, plus a clear photo and a few reference measurements from the sample piece. What I now need is manufacturing-ready documentation so I can hand the job straight to my spring maker without any back-and-forth.
Your task is to turn those inputs into both a detailed 2D technical drawing and a clean 3D CAD model. The 3D file must be delivered in STEP or IGES format, while the drawing should come as both PDF and DWG so it drops straight into the shop’s workflow. Please make sure the drawing calls out critical dimensions, tolerances, coil count, free length, solid height and any notes a fabricator would expect (ends closed or ground, material spec, etc.).
Deliverables
• Parametric 3D model (STEP/IGES)
• Production-ready 2D drawing (PDF + DWG)
I’ll supply the full dimension set and the photo the moment we start; a quick screen share or message exchange to confirm the geometry is welcome. One round of minor tweaks is included so we can lock everything in before release. If you’re comfortable with SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360 or similar mainstream CAD tools, this should be straightforward. Looking forward to seeing how quickly you can turn this around.
