I’m ready to refresh my existing site and need an experienced JavaScript developer who can work comfortably on both the front-end and the back-end.

On the front-end, the layout and structure feel dated, the colour palette and typography no longer match my brand, and several interactive elements—buttons, forms, and similar components—have inconsistent behaviour across browsers. I’d like clean, modern code that keeps load times low and accessibility high. If you prefer React, Vue, or even vanilla JS with a lightweight framework, I’m open to your suggestion as long as the final result is responsive and SEO-friendly.

On the back-end, my priority is tightening up API connections. Some endpoints have been added over time without proper optimisation, so response times vary and occasional errors surface under heavy traffic. You’ll review the existing logic, refactor where needed, and add concise documentation so future maintenance is straightforward.

Deliverables
• Updated front-end (layout, styles, and interactions) deployed to the live site
• Refactored API integration with clear, well-commented code
• Brief hand-over document outlining key changes and setup steps

Acceptance Criteria
1. All pages render correctly on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
2. Lighthouse performance score above 90 for both mobile and desktop.
3. API calls return consistent, error-free responses under a simulated heavy-load test.

If this sounds like a challenge you’d enjoy, let’s talk timelines and get started.
