Our team needs our institutional knowledge captured in clear, detailed manuals that anyone can pick up and use without hand-holding. Written documentation is the sole format I want, laid out as full-length manuals rather than quick guides or short tutorials.

The core of each manual must include:
• Introduction and Overview – explain the purpose, scope, roles involved, and any key concepts.
• Step-by-Step Procedures – walk through every task in logical order with numbered steps, screenshots or diagrams where helpful, and any decision points called out.

Everything should follow a consistent template, use plain language, and be easy to update later in Word or Google Docs. Cross-references, revision history, and a clean table of contents are expected. If you see gaps—such as missing FAQs—flag them, but keep the primary focus on the two sections above.

Acceptance criteria
• Every critical process documented end-to-end in the agreed template
• Steps tested for accuracy by someone unfamiliar with the task
• Final files delivered in editable DOCX and PDF formats

If your writing background includes SOP creation, technical writing, or policy documentation, you’ll fit right in. Let’s turn what lives in people’s heads into manuals the whole organization can rely on.
