I’m looking for a seasoned CAD engineer who can take on an end-to-end aerospace package. The scope spans traditional aircraft structures and brackets, engine or other mechanical components, and a full range of unmanned-aircraft parts—from the primary frame to propellers, motor mounts, landing gear, payload mounts, and electronics enclosures.
My goal is to walk away with production-ready data, so your work must include:
• Detailed 3D models of every part that are editable
• Fully-dimensioned manufacturing drawings suitable for CNC, additive, or composite lay-up routes
• A clean assembly model that shows precise fit and clear bill-of-materials relationships
I typically review native files in SolidWorks or CATIA and neutral formats (STEP, IGES) for shop use, but I’m open to NX or Fusion 360 if that’s where you work best—just let me know up front.
Acceptance criteria:
• All models pass interference and tolerance checks at ±0.1 mm
• Drawings conform to ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
• Assembly opens error-free in my SolidWorks 2023 verifier session
If you have a proven track record in aerospace or UAV design and can hit these marks without hand-holding, I’d like to hear how you’d approach the project and see a sample that illustrates a similar complexity level.
