**WordPress/WooCommerce Developer Needed: Complete Google and Microsoft Login on Staging**
We are looking for an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce developer with proven expertise in Google Identity Services, Microsoft Entra ID, MSAL, and OpenID Connect.
**Current setup**
Our shop already has a custom Google/Microsoft integration. The standard registration process—including password creation, automatic verification email, and customer activation—has been jointly tested on staging.
Social registration and login have not yet passed complete acceptance testing. Existing code, diagnostic findings, and review reports will be provided.
**Scope of work**
- Independently review the existing integration and customer account mapping.
- Make Microsoft authentication open as a popup with one click.
- Complete first-time registration through Google and Microsoft without manual administrator approval.
- Allow customers with linked accounts to sign in directly.
- Implement secure one-time linking for existing accounts that are not yet linked. A matching email address alone must not grant account access.
- Maintain separation between administrators, suppliers, and customers.
- Direct users to the customer area or shop after successful authentication.
- Show only authorised areas and “Log out” under “My Account.”
- Verify logout and protection of private pages afterwards.
**Mandatory boundaries**
All work must take place exclusively on **staging.process-supply.com**. Production must remain unchanged.
Preserve the working email registration process. Do not weaken security controls, delete accounts without authorisation, or introduce paid services. The client will personally complete account authentication and MFA.
**Acceptance criteria**
For both Google and Microsoft, demonstrate:
1. A new customer can register and activate an account without administrator approval.
2. An existing linked customer can sign in.
3. An existing unlinked account can be linked securely.
4. Logout works, and private customer pages require authentication afterwards.
5. Customers cannot access administration, supplier functions, or another customer’s data.
6. Cancelled and failed authentication attempts produce clear messages and recovery options.
Deliverables: changed files, a concise explanation of root causes, a test report with sensitive information removed, and rollback instructions. Passwords and authentication tokens must never appear in documentation or logs.
**Estimated hours and payment limit**
- Initial assessment and proposed solution: **maximum 2 hours**.
- Implementation and fixes: **estimated 6–8 hours**.
- Functional testing and security review: **estimated 3–4 hours**.
- Documentation and handover: **estimated 1–2 hours**.
**Total limit: 16 actual billable hours.**
After the initial two hours, provide concrete findings and confirm whether completion is achievable within the total budget. Any additional hours require prior written approval. Billing will be at the agreed hourly rate, supported by a brief breakdown of work completed.
