Apparel Designer & Tech Pack Creator for Premium Alt-Streetwear Brand
Project Description:
We are launching a new clothing brand and are looking for an experienced apparel designer to create comprehensive, factory-ready tech packs. We will be manufacturing our garments in China, so the tech packs must be highly detailed and meet the standard requirements of overseas manufacturing companies.
Our brand aesthetic leans heavily into cybersignalism and alt designs. We need a designer who can not only build the technical specifications but also help integrate these cool, edge-driven graphics and design elements into the garments.
The Garments:
We are starting with two specific styles, which must be specified for premium quality materials.
1. Men's Premium T-Shirt
Style Reference: Please refer to the attached file named "Mens Shirt.jpg" for the exact fit and cut we are looking for.
Sizing: L, XL, XXL
Details: Needs to have a high-quality, structured fit (fitted across the upper body with a looser but tapered mid section) with the integration of our cybersignalism/ alt graphics.
2. Women's Ruched T-Shirt
Style Reference: Please refer to the attached file named "Women's Shirt.jpg" for the design intent.
Sizing: 8, 10, 12
Details: Fitted silhouette featuring a side-ruching/drawstring detail, also incorporating our aesthetic designs.
What We Need From You (Deliverables):
Technical Sketches / CADs: Detailed front, back, and side/detail views.
Bill of Materials (BOM): Recommendations and specifications for premium-grade fabrics, threads, and trims (like the drawstrings for the women's shirt).
Measurements & Grading: Clear spec sheets for the targeted sizes (Mens L-XXL, Womens 8-12).
Graphic/Print Placement: Precise instructions for the manufacturers on where and how the cybersignalism/alt designs should be applied (e.g., screen print, puff print, embroidery, etc.).
Construction Details: Stitching types, label placements, and finishing techniques.
Requirements:
Proven experience creating tech packs specifically for overseas manufacturers (China).
A strong portfolio demonstrating an understanding of premium apparel construction.
An eye for alternative streetwear aesthetics (cybersignalism, alternative, darkwear) to ensure the graphics and garment style harmonize well.
