About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a highly engaging and relationship-driven Community Manager to own the member experience for a private community of approximately 160 entrepreneurs.
This is not a passive moderation role.
You’ll be responsible for creating an active, connected, and valuable community by leading conversations in Slack, building relationships with members, making thoughtful introductions, coordinating premium events, and proactively improving engagement and retention.
You’ll serve as the heartbeat of the community, ensuring members feel welcomed, connected, heard, and consistently receive value from being part of the network.

What You’ll Own
Slack Community Management & Daily Engagement
Own the day-to-day experience inside the community’s Slack workspace.
You will:
Start thoughtful discussions and keep conversations active.
Encourage members to participate and contribute.
Respond to questions and facilitate conversations.
Welcome and engage new members.
Identify inactive members and proactively reconnect with them.
Maintain a professional, positive, and welcoming community environment.
Ensure questions, conversations, and member needs do not go unnoticed.
Create consistent reasons for members to return and participate.
Member Relationships & Strategic Introductions
Get to know members beyond their names and profiles.
Understand their:
Businesses
Industries
Goals
Challenges
Expertise
Interests
Current priorities
Use that knowledge to make thoughtful introductions between members who could benefit from knowing one another.
You’ll act as a connector across the community, helping create valuable relationships, collaborations, and conversations.
Member Check-Ins & Retention
Conduct structured member check-ins approximately every 3–6 months.
Use these conversations to:
Understand member satisfaction.
Gather feedback about the community experience.
Identify disengaged or at-risk members.
Understand what members want more or less of.
Surface opportunities for introductions, programming, or support.
Address concerns before they become reasons to leave.
Maintain organized records of member feedback, engagement, and follow-up actions.
Events, Retreats & Member Experiences
Coordinate high-quality community experiences, including:
Retreats
Dinners
Meetups
Private gatherings
Virtual events
Other member experiences
Own event coordination from planning through execution, including:
Scheduling
Invitations and RSVPs
Venue and vendor coordination
Member communication
Attendance tracking
Event logistics
Reminders and follow-ups
Post-event feedback
The goal is to create organized, premium experiences that strengthen relationships within the community.
Engagement Tracking & Community Reporting
Monitor the overall health of the community by tracking:
Slack activity
Member participation
Event attendance
Member check-ins
Meaningful introductions
Inactive members
Engagement trends
Retention and churn indicators
Provide clear insights to leadership about what is working, where engagement is dropping, and what can be improved.
Member Feedback & Surveys
Create and manage member surveys using Typeform or similar tools.
You will:
Gather structured member feedback.
Analyze survey responses.
Identify recurring themes and concerns.
Share actionable insights with leadership.
Turn member feedback into improvements to programming, events, and the overall community experience.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple member conversations and priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable working remotely during U.S. business hours.
Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Direct experience managing a Slack-based community.
Experience managing private or paid membership communities.
Experience working with entrepreneurs, founders, executives, or business owners.
Familiarity with Typeform.
