I have a fully developed, final-stage architectural plan for a commercial building and the permit office will not review it until a licensed structural engineer has signed off on the roof design. The drawings already show framing layout, load paths and materials; what I still need is a professional assessment that confirms code compliance, backs it up with calculations, and finishes with an engineer’s stamp accepted by the local authority.
