USA commercial trucking insurance operation and I need a full-time professional who can look after day-to-day management while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. Your focus will span three core pillars:
1. Claims Administration
• Claim processing and settlement from first notice through final payment
• Fraud investigation, documenting findings and escalating when warranted
• Negotiating and mediating disputed claims to achieve fair outcomes
2. Team & Task Oversight
You will coordinate workloads, set daily priorities, and ensure each file moves on schedule. Although I did not tick specific HR items, expect to guide staff performance informally and mentor newer adjusters as you keep the queue flowing.
3. Insurance Accounting
• Accounts payable and receivable: allocate premiums, chase aged debt, and reconcile carrier statements
• Financial reporting: produce monthly P&L snapshots and loss-ratio metrics the brokerage can act upon
• Budgeting and forecasting: help model revenue, commission, and expected loss development so we can plan headcount and cash flow confidently
I rely on standard market tools—Excel/Google Sheets, carrier portals, and typical accounting packages—so you should move comfortably between them and be willing to suggest process improvements.
Success for this role means files are closed promptly, loss ratios stay visible, ledgers balance to the cent, and the team feels supported rather than swamped. If that sounds like a challenge you can own, tell me about the claims systems, accounting suites, or investigative methods that make you effective, and let’s talk.
