I’m building a mobile puzzle game that revolves around classic Flow-style mechanics—think Pixel Flow, Yarn Loop, or Jelly Busters—where players draw continuous paths to connect matching points without crossing lines. I need a level designer who can craft engaging, well-balanced stages that feel fresh from the very first grid right through to the trickiest board.

The look and feel I’m after is colorful and vibrant, so every level should pop off the screen with playful palettes that keep the experience light and inviting. While art assets will be handled separately, the layouts you design must take this lively visual direction into account (e.g., spacing for animations, room for bright UI elements).

Scope of work
• Design Flow-style, path-drawing levels suitable for touch screens.
• Establish a smooth difficulty curve—tutorial stages, gradual ramp-up, and challenging endgame boards.
• Vary board sizes, introduce interesting twists (obstacles, special tiles, alternative objectives) while staying true to the core mechanic.
• Provide each level in a format ready for integration (JSON, CSV, or Unity ScriptableObject—let me know which you prefer).
• Include a brief design document explaining logic, beat pacing, and any special rules so my development team can implement and test quickly.

Acceptance criteria
1. Levels load and play-test without soft locks or impossible states.
2. Progressive difficulty is evident in blind play-tests.
3. All layouts respect the “colorful and vibrant” presentation (no cramped or overly dull boards).
4. Documentation clearly maps grid coordinates, start/end nodes, and any unique elements.

If you have a portfolio showcasing Flow-style or path-drawing puzzle work, even better—share it so I can see how you balance challenge and fun. I’m ready to kick this off as soon as I find the right designer.
