Color Change - Image Editing - Beginner Level

I have a single image where one specific object needs to shift from its current hue to a natural-looking red. The rest of the photo must remain untouched, and the object’s original texture, shadows, and highlights should stay exactly as they are so the final result feels authentic, not painted on.

Please work in Photoshop (or an equivalent layer-based editor) so I can receive both the high-resolution flattened file and the editable layered file. The color replacement should be seamless—no visible edges, halos, or mismatched reflections. Once finished, share the files in the same resolution and format as the original along with a brief note on the adjustment layers or masks you used; that way I can tweak the work later if needed.
