Codex Integration Training for Website

I want to understand, step by step, how to wire OpenAI Codex into my current website so I can send it natural-language commands, have it generate the required code, and let that code safely update a MySQL database. I’m comfortable experimenting once I see a working example, but I need a knowledgeable developer to walk me through the full flow: obtaining and protecting the API key, crafting requests, parsing Codex responses, sanitising the output, and executing the resulting SQL or server-side script without compromising security.

We can meet over Zoom or any screen-share tool you prefer; real-time guidance is important to me because I want to ask questions as we build. The underlying stack of the site is flexible—I’m happy to work in PHP, JavaScript (Node or browser), or Python, whichever you feel will demonstrate the concepts most clearly. By the end of our sessions I should be able to type a prompt such as “add a new user table with these fields” and watch the database update accordingly.

Deliverables
• Two or three live tutoring sessions (recordings welcome)
• A small, well-commented sample project that calls Codex and applies its output to MySQL
• A short cheat-sheet summarising key functions, security precautions, and next steps

Acceptance criteria: after the final session I can independently send a prompt through the demo interface, receive executable code from Codex, and see the intended change reflected in my database without errors.
