I need a field-ready specialist to collect coastal sediment samples for an ongoing environmental study. The core objective is to quantify organic matter content, so the sampling strategy, preservation techniques and subsequent lab work must all be geared toward keeping those organics intact.

Site & scope
• Coastal zone—intertidal to shallow sub-tidal, accessible from shore in Philippines and Indoneisa.
• Representative coverage across the high, mid and low shorelines, plus one control site outside the main influence area.
• Minimum of 12 discrete samples, each at least 200 g, sealed in pre-cleaned amber jars, stored on ice immediately and frozen within six hours.

Key tasks
1. Plan and execute the field trip, securing any local permits.
2. Use a stainless corer, Ekman grab or equivalent low-contamination tool; avoid plastic contact wherever practical.
3. Document GPS coordinates, tidal stage, water depth and visible conditions for every sample.
4. Deliver a concise field log (PDF) and the physical samples overnight-shipped to my lab.

Acceptance criteria
• All samples arrive frozen, clearly labelled and matching the field log data.
• Chain-of-custody form signed at each hand-off.

Timeline is flexible within the next four weeks, but I’d like your proposed schedule and any questions within 48 hours of being awarded. Let me know your coastal sampling experience and the gear you intend to bring so we can lock in the logistics quickly.
