The Clinical Partnerships Manager will identify and qualify clinical trial study opportunities with current and new sponsors / CROs, and promote Alcanza’s image and clinical trial conduct service capabilities in a way that will further the company’s objectives, growth, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
Grow Alcanza’s market share by identifying and qualifying new sponsor / CRO clinical trial studies among existing sponsors / CROs and / or new sponsors / CROs
Call upon existing sponsors / CROs and or new prospects to generate, identify and qualify potential business for Alcanza’s network of sites
Identify new sponsor prospects, perform need analysis, identify opportunities and follow up, in conjunction and collaboration with BD team
Manage inquiries from prospects in conjunction with Directors of Business Development
Create, implement and execute key sponsor / CRO strategic account activities in alignment with Alcanza’s business plan and objectives
Arrange and participate in internal / external discussions and meetings related to identified sponsor / CRO inquiries.
Assist with industry conference preparation by researching, identifying, and qualifying sponsors and CROs that align with business development priorities
Monitor industry trends to identify emerging therapeutic areas and indications that present potential new study opportunities for Alcanza.
Identify, qualify and manage leads from websites, marketing campaigns and other utilized marketplace platforms (Zymewire, GlobalData, Centerwatch, etc.)
Participate, provide feedback and support sales goals each fiscal year and track the progress to ensure that objectives are met.
React upon business opportunities forwarded by site operations and business development; collaborate with them through sales cycle
Promote Alcanza’s network of clinical trial sites and expertise to sponsors and CROs
Maintain up to date knowledge of Alcanza’s clinical trial conduct capabilities within its network of sites
Participate in strategic and business decisions regarding new clinical trial study opportunities
Execute sales and business development activities, including sales planning, reports and accurate data / lead / opportunity entry into Devana
Maintain current and accurate data in Devana on all leads, sales and business development activities
Ensure communication and coordination with the BD team to facilitate the successful handover and execution of the new business opportunities
Participate in arranging prospective sponsor / CRO visits to any Alcanza sites
Report on leads, opportunity and pipeline development
Report on developments in the marketplace and competitor activities
Participate, lead, and/or present in team, department, management, client, & other meetings as needed.
Communicate and liaise with clients and all stakeholders (internal & external) in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain confidentiality of patients, customers and company information.
Perform all other duties that may be requested or assigned.
May be required to travel up to 10% of the time, dependent on business needs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field and a minimum of 1 year of business development or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have Inside sales, and/or business development experience with pharmaceutical and medical device companies and/or CRO, clinical trial site, or network. Must understand the clinical trial process (Phase I – IV). Familiarity with Zymewire and GlobalData and / or other pharma marketplace platforms is preferred. Required Skills:
Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet, and the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm)
Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional networking and relationship-building capabilities.
Well-developed presentation and persuasion skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences and carryout effective business development and selling techniques
Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to work well independently, collaboratively within a team environment, with clients and sponsors, and with all levels within the organization.
Must be proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities, adapt to changes in workloads and priorities, and meet deadlines.
Ability to be professional, respectful of others, and exemplify a strong work ethic.
Must possess a high degree of integrity and dependability.

Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
May be required to travel up to 10% of the time, dependent on business needs.
