Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for an Clinical Educator - RN to join our remote team at Shady Grove Fertility.

Schedule: Monday though Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 3-4 weekends per year; Up to 20% travel required to SGF offices

In this role, the Clinical Educator - RN will:

Develop, utilize, and update an orientation program that incorporates current policies, procedures, and basic/advanced knowledge and skills for clinical staff working in the REI setting

Work closely with HR to ensure the On Boarding Program meets the needs of the new clinical staff as the basic introduction to the Practice

Provide basic REI education for new employees (all departments) and advanced education for nursing clinical staff

Develop, utilize, and update clinical competencies for the various aspects of orientation, training, and education including documentation of achievement and maintenance of competencies

Coordinate orientation of new clinical staff; Work with the Clinical Education Supervisor and Office Supervisor/Manager to ensure ongoing education and support of new clinical staff members; Continue to provide support and education to new staff member throughout introductory period and beyond as needed

Plan, prepare, and maintain materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience

Identify and evaluate instructional materials in all types of media and formats

Teach content as needed and/or assigned within clinical expertise to facilitate orientation, staff development, and/or safe practices; Provide remediation when needed

Develop on-going continuing education offerings for the clinical staff; Participate in teaching SG University courses

Document training and education

Travel to offices as needed to orient, train, educate, mentor, and/or evaluate new or existing staff

Work with Office Supervisors/Managers to train staff on new policies and procedures

Work with Clinical Applications Specialist in training the staff on the use of the Practice’s electronic medical record

Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programming

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

RN required; BS in nursing, healthcare administration, education, or business management preferred. Current compact state RN license without limitations required

Minimum 5 years experience in women’s health care with 3 years REI nurse coordinator experience required at Shady Grove Fertility

Completion of ASRM REI Nurse Certificate Course within 1st year of assuming this position, if not already completed

Current CPR certification, or acquired within 1 month of employment

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to form professional relationships with multi-cultural patients and their families, physicians, subordinate staff, and other members of the management team

Ability to resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner required

Verbal and written abilities to communicate accurately and concisely required

Ability to work well independently and demonstrate good judgment along with the ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team

Ability to work independently to manage a caseload of patients

Well organized; ability to plan, supervise and motivate staff

Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building

Knowledge of clinical procedures, program operations, computer software, and equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required including Work and Excel

Ability to travel to SGF locations as assigned
