Clinical Director - SimpliFi
At SimpliFi, we partner with hospitals and health systems to simplify workforce solutions while supporting the clinicians who care for patients every day. We are looking for a Clinical Director who brings both strong clinical expertise and a passion for building meaningful relationships across healthcare teams.
In this role, you will serve as a clinical subject matter expert and trusted partner to both our clients and internal teams. From supporting client implementations to helping resolve escalated clinician concerns, the Clinical Director plays a key role in ensuring our MSP partnerships run smoothly and deliver an exceptional experience for clinicians and hospital leadership alike.
This position is ideal for a clinically experienced RN who is confident communicating with nursing leadership, enjoys problem solving, and wants to contribute to improving how healthcare organizations support their travel clinicians.
You’ll work closely with our Client Relationship team, Compliance, Operations, CAP (Confidence Accelerating Practice) Managers, fellow Clinical Directors, and the VP/Chief Clinical Officer to support both day-to-day clinical operations and long-term client success.
What You’ll Do
As Clinical Director, you will help ensure both clinicians and clients are set up for success. Your work will include:
Serving as a clinical escalation point for issues involving travel clinicians at client facilities
Acting as a clinical liaison between hospital leadership, vendors, and SimpliFi teams
Supporting our Clinical Interview Specialist team by reviewing vendor applicants and assisting with clinical interviews on behalf of unit leadership
Participating in MSP implementations and launches, ensuring clinical processes are clearly communicated and successfully executed
Partnering with the business development team when meeting with prospective clients to explain SimpliFi’s clinical processes and approach
Monitoring clinician performance evaluations and identifying opportunities for coaching, improvement, or recognition
Participating in departmental discussions around trends in terms and cancellations, helping identify clinical insights and recommendations
Consulting with the Risk Management team on situations that may present risk to the clinician, the client, or SimpliFi
Serving as a clinical resource for internal teams, helping translate real-world nursing expertise into better processes and decisions
You’ll also play an important role in leading and developing the Clinical Interview Specialist team, establishing performance standards, providing coaching, and supporting team growth.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines strong clinical experience with relationship-driven leadership.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active RN license in at least one state
5+ years of nursing experience across multiple specialty areas
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with CNOs, Directors, Nurse Managers, and clinical staff
Experience leading or mentoring others
Ability to navigate complex situations with professionalism and discretion
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfort working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to travel up to 15%
Will consider any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Education
Prior leadership experience
