Clean Demographic Survey CSV Data

I have a single CSV exported from a survey platform that captures only demographic information—age brackets, gender codes, location IDs and similar numeric fields. Right now column order is inconsistent, a few headers are missing, line breaks sometimes split records, and the file triggers import warnings in Excel.

What I need is simple but precise:

• Inspect every row, repair or remove malformed entries, and guarantee each record has the full set of demographic fields.
• Add clear, human-readable column headers (I’ll supply the exact wording once we start).
• Normalise delimiters, keep leading zeros intact, and ensure all numeric columns remain numbers when the file is opened in Excel.
• Return the finished dataset as a clean CSV that opens instantly in Excel without any additional import steps.

Acceptance criteria
• Consistent column count across all rows
• No stray commas, quotes or line breaks that cause Excel import prompts
• Correct data types preserved (e.g., no dates forced into text unless specified)
• File size and record count match the original after cleaning, minus any rows we mutually agree to drop as corrupt
