I have roughly 2,000 Excel-based bills for laptop and phone back-covers that now sit in one long, messy worksheet. I need every record pulled apart and reorganised so it finally makes sense.
Your job is to extract three key elements from each bill—vendor name, amount + date, and the specific product details—and then place the results into a set of clearly labelled, separate sheets. Think of one tab for each natural grouping (e.g. vendor, month, or any other logic that keeps the data easy to scan); the final structure just needs to be intuitive and consistent.
While you are transferring the data, please run a duplicate-entry check. If two or more rows carry the same vendor, date, amount and product combination, I want them flagged so I can decide what to keep. A simple “DUPLICATE” marker in an extra column is fine as long as it is obvious.
I’ll supply the current Excel file and expect back an .xlsx workbook that opens with no errors, holds the categorised sheets, and highlights duplicates exactly as described.
