YouTube Video Editor Needed for Inspirational Storytelling Channel

I am launching a YouTube channel focused on inspirational, meaningful, and thought-provoking stories about life, happiness, faith, family, purpose, perseverance, and personal growth.

I am looking for a talented video editor who understands storytelling, not just basic cutting and transitions.

First Video

Working Title:
“Why Are You Still Unhappy When Life Is Good?”

The video will likely be approximately 8–12 minutes long.

I will provide:

- Talking-head footage
- Voiceover if needed
- Script or detailed outline
- Creative direction
- Examples of the style and emotion I am looking for

You will help turn the material into a professional and emotionally engaging YouTube video.

Editing Style

I am looking for a combination of:

- Documentary-style storytelling
- Inspirational and emotional pacing
- Appropriate B-roll
- Music that supports the emotion without overpowering the message
- Sound design when appropriate
- Text and captions when they improve the story
- Smooth transitions
- Visual variety to maintain viewer attention
- Strong pacing and audience retention

I like the storytelling style of successful documentary YouTube channels such as Visual Venture, but my content will have a warmer, more personal, inspirational tone.

The goal is NOT to copy another channel.

I want to create our own recognizable style.

Important

I am especially interested in editors who understand YouTube audience retention.

I do not want unnecessary effects just to make the video look busy.

The most important things are:

Story. Emotion. Pacing. Viewer retention.

Paid Test Project

This first video will be a paid test project.

If we work well together, I would like to develop an ongoing relationship and produce regular long-form YouTube videos, along with shorter clips for YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and other social platforms.

$150–$350 USD
