I’m in post-production on a documentary that explores a pivotal historical event and I need an editor who can shape the footage into a cinematic experience. The raw material includes interviews, location B-roll, and several staged dramatic re-enactments already shot in 4K. Your task is to craft a compelling narrative arc, weave the re-enactments seamlessly with primary footage, and give the entire piece a polished, feature-film feel.

You should be confident working in Adobe Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve) for the main edit, comfortable sending scenes to After Effects for any subtle compositing or motion tweaks, and able to finish with rich colour grading and balanced 5.1 or stereo mixes. Smooth pacing, atmospheric sound design, and tasteful transitions are essential; I’m aiming for viewers to feel immersed in the era rather than watching a slideshow of facts.

Key deliverables
• Locked picture master in 4K (ProRes or DNx)
• Separate audio stems and final mixed track
• One-minute teaser cut from the final timeline
• Project files and an organised drive structure for future revisions
