I’m putting together a fresh, cohesive collection of children’s clothing and need an experienced patternmaker to transform my design concepts into production-ready patterns. The range will be entirely for kids, and I’m still flexible on whether the pieces lean toward everyday looks, special-occasion outfits, or sporty styles—your creative input here is welcome.
Here’s what I’m after:
• Original, accurate patterns for each garment (digital files ready for grading and sampling)
• Clear technical drawings and construction notes so my manufacturer can move straight to samples
• Size grading recommendations that reflect common children’s sizing standards
• Fabric and notion suggestions that balance comfort, durability, and cost
I’ll share mood boards, sketches, and reference measurements once we start. If you’ve successfully developed children’s lines before—especially if you can show finished garments that fit well and survived real-kid wear and tear—I’d love to see those examples. Let me know your estimated timeline for the first round of patterns and any preferred software (CLO, Optitex, Gerber, Illustrator, etc.).
