Freelance Graphic Designer Required – Kids Newspaper Design in CorelDRAW

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Graphic Designer who is proficient in CorelDRAW X8 / 2018 / 2017 / 2016 to design creative and engaging pages for a Kids' Newspaper.

The selected freelancer should have good knowledge of newspaper/page layout, typography, children's content design, images, vectors, and print-ready artwork.

Design Task – Selection Process

As part of our selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to recreate the attached sample newspaper page.

You may use similar-looking images, illustrations, and vectors for the design. The objective is to evaluate your ability to reproduce the layout, visual style, typography, and overall presentation of the sample.

Technical Requirements

• Software: CorelDRAW

• Required Version: CorelDRAW X8 / 2018 / 2017 / 2016

• Final File: Editable CDR

• Page Size: 227 mm × 345 mm

• Black Text Colour: C0 M0 Y0 K100

• Minimum Font Size: 10 pt

• Headings can use different colours and larger font sizes.

• All text, images, vectors, shapes, and design elements should remain editable.

• The final CDR file should be properly organized and suitable for further editing by our Design Team.

Files Provided

We will provide:

• Sample newspaper page

• Kids Age logo

• Reference material required for the design

Deliverable

The freelancer must submit:

1 fully editable CDR file saved in CorelDRAW X8 format.

Please do not submit only a JPG, PNG, PDF, or flattened artwork. The editable CDR source file is mandatory.

Selection Criteria

We will evaluate the submission based on:

• Accuracy of the recreated layout

• Creativity and visual presentation

• Typography and font selection

• Image and vector placement

• Attention to detail

• Knowledge of CorelDRAW

• Proper use of CMYK colours

• Quality of the editable CDR file

• Ability to follow the given specifications

Who We Are Looking For

We prefer designers who:

• Have previous experience designing newspapers, magazines, children's publications, educational material, or similar print designs.

• Are highly proficient in CorelDRAW.

• Can work with older CorelDRAW versions, especially X8/2018.

• Understand print design, CMYK colours, typography, and page layouts.

• Can deliver clean, professional, and fully editable files.
