Children's Book Illustrator

I'm looking for a talented illustrator to create enchanting illustrations for a children's book aimed at ages 4-12. I'm looking for a distinctive illustration style that feels contemporary but timeless, with a sense of fun and imagination. The illustrations should appeal to children while also having an aesthetic that parents will appreciate. I want to see your portfolio / style before anything else please.

The illustrations should be in a soft traditional watercolor British storybook style. The book will be approx 40 pages. This is intended to be a series, with each book centred around a different individual and their personal journey. The visual identity should therefore be flexible enough to evolve with each story while maintaining a recognisable, cohesive feel across the collection. I'd love to explore how colour, character, small details and visual storytelling can bring each person's world to life. Images within the text with 2 - 3 stand lone pages with a scene.

- A mix of full-page scenes with story characters, smaller pictures alongside the text, and an eye-catching simplistic cover. Will go into more detail once I have received samples of your work and style.

Ideal skills and experience:

- Expertise in soft watercolor techniques
- Experience illustrating for children's books, especially for the 4-12 age group
