My 11-year-old son has poured his passion for private aviation into a 24-page children’s book, complete with his own digital AI images of various aircraft and a feather-covered eagle he calls “Captain Feathers.” I’d like your help polishing the text and bringing the artwork to life so the finished book feels both professional and fun.

Text work
First, I need a careful proofread that looks at grammar and punctuation, sentence structure and overall readability, plus consistency and flow from page to page. I want the tone to remain authentically “kid voice,” just smoothed out so young readers (and their parents) fly through the story without tripping on errors.

Illustration work
Every page currently features a rough image of an airplane or Captain Feathers. I’m after fresh, cartoonish illustrations—bright, playful and aerodynamically believable. The goal is to keep the whimsy while improving anatomy, perspective, and consistency of how captain feathers looks. Expect a handful of spot images and several full-spread scenes. Final art should arrive print-ready (300 dpi, CMYK) and in layered PSD or AI files so we can adjust layout later if needed.

Deliverables
• Proofread manuscript returned in tracked-changes Word or Google Doc
• 24 pages of revised cartoon illustrations: high-resolution finals + editable source files
• A brief note on any major text changes so my son sees how his writing grew

Once both pieces are in place, we’ll compile the book for digital and print release. If you love aviation trivia, children’s storytelling and playful character design, I’d love to see your samples and hear how you’d approach the project.
