About the project: I'm developing a small series of original plush toys in India. Each plush is about 13 cm tall (sitting), 9-10 cm wide, with a flat base so it can sit on a desk. This job is for the design stage only — paper/digital design, not a physical prototype.
What I need: A character designer to create original character designs and full turnaround sheets for 3 characters to start (series may extend later).
Deliverables — per character:
- Full turnaround / model sheet: front, side, back, and 3/4 views
- Face close-up, plus key details (ears, tail, paws, markings)
- Colour palette and markings guide
- Proportions marked for a 13 cm sitting plush
- Construction details shown in the drawings: flat base, and a small hidden loop tucked into the top/back seam
- Expression sheet (3-4 expressions) — nice to have
- Final files: high-resolution PNG + vector files (AI/SVG) + PDF
Requirements:
- Original work only. Characters must be fully original — not copies of, or similar to, any existing characters or brands.
- Experience with character design for toys/plush preferred. Character designers from animation or gaming backgrounds are welcome.
- I will share AI-generated reference images for direction only. You will redraw and redesign them into original, human-made designs.
- NDA to be signed before I share references.
- Full commercial rights to the final designs transfer to me in writing on delivery and payment.
- Based in India preferred. Remote work is fine.
What I will provide: AI-generated reference images for each character; size and construction notes (13 cm sitting, flat base, hidden loop); feedback rounds on sketches before final artwork.
