I need a detailed CFD study that proves occupants can safely evacuate a 1600m2 car-park level during a single passenger-car fire. The focus is strictly on one parking level; ramps and additional floors are outside this scope.
Your model should replicate the existing ventilation set-up (jet fans, extract system, inlets) and track smoke spread, layer height, temperature, visibility and tenability limits throughout the 10-minute design fire. I am interested in smoke clearance times, critical velocity, and whether visibility stays above life-safety criteria along the designated escape routes.
I am comfortable with ANSYS Fluent, FDS or other recognised fire-engineered CFD tools, as long as the methodology is clearly documented and aligns with current fire-safety codes. Please run the mesh sensitivity check, explain boundary conditions, and provide screen-capture evidence that confirms convergence.
Deliverables:
• A concise report (PDF) summarising assumptions, model set-up, validation references and results
• Plan and section snapshots showing smoke layer development and velocity vectors
• Raw model files so I can peer-review or re-run if needed
• A brief conclusions section stating whether the ventilation achieves smoke clearance for safe evacuation, plus any recommendations if it does not
Let me know your preferred software, approximate turnaround, and the data you need from my side (drawings, fan curves, etc.) so we can get started right away.
