Catalog & Content Operations Lead
About the job
Fresh Prints is about to go through the biggest catalog shift in company history. We've always sold custom apparel to groups - chapters, teams, clubs. That's changing: we're building a catalog where every product and design has its own shoppable page, so anyone can browse and buy directly, the way you'd shop at any other ecommerce store. Over the next year, our catalog will grow roughly 100x, from a few hundred listings to tens of thousands of individual product pages.
Someone has to build what makes that catalog possible: the publishing pipeline, the QA process, and a team of three that can run it well without you standing over their shoulder. This isn't a maintenance job. Nobody here has run a catalog at this scale before, so a lot of what you build in the first few months won't have a template to follow — you'd be building the foundation for a 100x scale-up from close to day one, and a year from now, you'll have a genuinely rare story to tell about what you built and when.
We're looking for someone who can lead a small team, own a production calendar, and hold a real quality bar under pressure, who also happens to be technical enough to get hands-on with a CMS when something needs fixing. If building the system behind a company's next stage of growth sounds like the kind of problem you want to solve, please apply.
You'll own our product catalog, our QA process, and the team of three that grows with it. Build the systems now, and a year from now your team is running most of it without you, while you're already onto the next big problem.
What You'll Own
Team Leadership & Coaching

Manage and mentor a team of three, setting clear expectations for quality, pace, and ownership

Delegate real ownership to your team rather than staying the single point of failure for every workflow

Know the difference between a capacity problem, a process problem, and a performance problem, and address each the right way

Project & Production Management

Own the production calendar across launches, campaigns, catalog updates, and ad hoc requests

Turn incoming requests into scope, owners, deadlines, and QA checkpoints

Forecast your team's capacity, flag conflicts before a deadline is at risk, and negotiate scope when priorities collide instead of letting the team silently absorb an impossible workload

Asset & Catalog Quality

Own product publishing across every product line, with accurate metadata and imagery before anything goes live

Design and scale the QA process that catches errors before they reach the live site as the catalog grows toward tens of thousands of listings

Document workflows clearly enough that the team doesn't depend on any one person's memory

Cross-Functional Coordination
Be the one who keeps product work moving across departments on schedule, with risk flagged early and a clear path forward whenever something's blocked

Who You Are

You love building systems. You can turn an ad hoc process into something documented and repeatable that the whole team can run.

You're scrappy under pressure. You'll sketch out a tracker on the spot or jump into the work yourself rather than let something slip while you wait for the perfect tool.

You understand product data at a deep level — comfortable enough inside a CMS to know when a field is derived from somewhere else, and enough of a craft eye to know what's actually wrong with an asset.

You can hold five moving projects and competing deadlines in your head at once without one quietly slipping through the cracks.

You're direct. When a teammate is falling short, you say so the same day, not weeks later. When you're the one falling behind, you say that too.

You're curious about where the catalog is breaking. You'll notice the colorway that's slightly off before a customer ever does.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant experience

Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Prior experience leading or co-leading a team, with genuine ownership of people and their output

A track record of managing projects against hard deadlines with multiple contributors

A track record of building or scaling a QA process for content or product output at high volume

Hands-on fluency with a content management system (CMS) or product information management (PIM) platform. You understand the underlying data structure, not just the interface

Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator is a plus)

Strong differentiator, not required: scripted or automated production workflows in Photoshop, or comfort building lightweight tools using AI, no-code platforms, or basic scripting.
Compensation
Between $900 - $1,000 (adjusted for experience), with $40 night shift allowance

Working Hours:
