Casual Leather Footwear Designer (NCR)

I’m developing a fresh line of casual leather shoes aimed at both men and women and need a creative footwear designer who is already in the Delhi-NCR region so we can iterate together quickly in person when required. The core brief is to translate my brand mood board into a cohesive range of relaxed yet premium silhouettes that feel distinctly urban-Indian while still looking at home on international shelves.

Here’s what I’d like you to handle from day one:

• Concept exploration and hand/Adobe Illustrator sketching for loafers, sneakers and slip-ons
• Material and colour selection focused on high-grade bovine leather available locally
• Tech-pack creation with accurate specs, last references, component breakdowns and finish notes
• Coordination with my prefered pattern-maker and tannery in Gurugram for sampling rounds
• Fit, wear-test feedback and final tweaks before moving the approved styles to production

Acceptance criteria
– At least three unique upper constructions for men and three for women, each supplied as clean AI files plus layered PDFs
– Complete tech packs that a factory can follow without additional clarification
– Two successful sample rounds culminating in production-ready pairs

The timeline is flexible but I’m aiming to lock designs within six weeks, so availability for weekly face-to-face reviews in Noida or Gurugram will be important. If you have a strong portfolio of casual leather footwear and understand local manufacturing realities, let’s collaborate.
