Cartoonish Puppet Animation in Blender

I’m assembling a small Blender animation crew—ideally three to four artists—who can breathe life into an old-school, cartoonish puppet show that is already in pre-production. All core character meshes, rigs, and textures have been prepared; what I need now is pure animation artistry focused on two fronts: Talking ( most characters will be standing still for most shots ) and some upper body expressiveness.
The brief
• Style: Think Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer puppets, Captain Yajima on youtube are prime examples
• Assets on hand: fully rigged puppets plus a library of props ready to animate. No environment work is required; our sets are locked.
• Scope: a six-minute short broken into 70 scenes. Each scene will have the pieces ready and an animatic to go with it. Requires a spline/pass refinement, and final polish, followed by rendered PNG sequences (or EXR if you’d rather) and the corresponding .blend files.
Acceptance criteria
• Final animation must match the provided storyboards and audio track, with lip-sync landing within ±2 frames.
• Clean, organized Blender files: labeled collections, non-destructive constraints, and minimal orphan data.
If your team thrives on character and prop animation, is comfortable handing off tidy project files, and can hit a lively, cartoonish beat, let’s talk scheduling and milestones.
Must be all done in blender , Files will be synced on Google Drive for easy access and review.
