I need a ten-page children’s storybook, aimed squarely at 6- to 8-year-olds, built around three light-hearted tales:
• “My Pet”
• “My Favorite Holiday”
• “My Parents”
Every page should carry a short, humorous narrative (age-appropriate vocabulary, no more than 60-70 words per page) paired with a bright, cartoonish illustration that fills at least half the page. The pictures must reinforce the jokes and action in the text so young readers can follow the plot even before they master every word.
Deliverables
1. Full manuscript (10 pages of finished prose, including any title or transition pages).
2. Ten high-resolution, print-ready cartoon illustrations in CMYK (300 dpi, PNG or layered PSD).
3. A final, combined PDF laid out in proper page order with text and art positioned for bleed-free printing.
4. Source files for both text and artwork so future updates remain possible.
Acceptance criteria
• Characters remain consistent in style and color palette across all pages.
• Humor is gentle, positive, and understandable for early readers.
• Spelling and grammar are spotless; dialogue is kid-friendly and engaging.
• All files pass a quick color/trim check for KDP or similar print services.
Preferred tools include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate, but any solution that meets the resolution and layering needs above is fine. Timely previews are appreciated so tweaks can happen before final export.
