Car Park Barrier Layout Design

This commission covers the complete civil and electrical design for a new car-park entrance and exit. The foremost priority is an entrance/exit barrier layout that makes access effortless for every user, so circulation paths, island positioning, and reader heights must all meet current UK accessibility guidance.

Scope of work
• Develop a coordinated site plan showing vehicle circulation, barrier islands, payment machine location, queuing space and pedestrian routes.
• Design foundations, groundworks, ducting and cable routes, then size power and data wiring right through to equipment terminations.
• Produce construction-ready drawings and notes that satisfy UK Building Regulations, BS 7671, DDA/Equality Act provisions, and all applicable health & safety standards. Practical install and future maintenance considerations should be built in from the outset.

Deliverables
1. Fully annotated PDF drawing set suitable for tender and construction.
2. Native DWG files for my records and future edits.
3. A concise design report confirming standards followed, calculations/assumptions, and any manufacturer data sheets referenced.
