I’m looking for an experienced C++ developer who is comfortable working in a Linux environment to track down and resolve a functionality bug that’s affecting one of my applications. The codebase already compiles and runs; however, a key feature is not behaving as intended.
Here’s what I need:
• Investigate the source to identify the root cause of the malfunction.
• Provide a clean, well-commented patch or pull request that addresses the issue.
• Supply build instructions (Makefile or CMake) and any test cases you used to verify the fix.
• Include a concise summary of the changes so I can follow your logic.
The project does NOT require UI tweaks or performance tuning—just a solid functionality repair. You’ll have SSH or Git access to the repository, along with sample data to replicate the problem. Familiarity with gdb, Valgrind, and common Linux debugging tools will be important. If you’ve untangled tricky C++ bugs before, let’s get this sorted quickly.
