I am taking a grad class of computer architecture and I need someone who has experience in computer architecture, logic gates and knows how to code in C/C++ or who has a master degree in computer engineering who can do my homework assignments for the semester. This is an overview of the class: it covers the major design aspects and building blocks that go into designing modern computers. We’ll start by learning what an instruction set architecture (ISA) is, and then, using MIPS as an example, understand how they’re implemented with common ISA design tradeoffs. Next, we’ll get into microprocessor design. Starting with a single-stage machine, this class will introduce how the MIPS instruction set can be implemented. Using this implementation as a baseline many advanced performance optimizations will be covered including pipelining and out-of-order execution. Looking beyond the datapath, we’ll consider the memory-hierarchy and optimizations to overcome long-latency events with caches and speculation. The core course will also cover mechanisms for improved instruction level parallelism (branch prediction) and further hiding memory access latency (prefetching). Towards the end of the course, time permitted, recent topics will be covered including dataflow architectures, SIMD/vectors, and hardware for machine learning. The pay will be ($20-40) per assignment and MUST BE LOCATED IN New York.
