Job Purpose
The Business Analyst will act as the critical link between the Corporate Banking business (Liquidity & Cash Management) and Technology/Operations teams, translating business needs into clear functional requirements. The role supports the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of cash management products — including domestic and cross-border payments, liquidity structures (pooling, sweeping, notional pooling), virtual accounts, and digital banking channels — ensuring solutions meet client needs, regulatory requirements (SAMA), and internal risk/control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from Corporate Banking stakeholders for Liquidity & Cash Management products and platforms (e.g., host-to-host, API banking, virtual IBAN, liquidity pooling, sweeping structures).
Act as a liaison between Business, IT, Operations, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle — from requirements gathering through UAT and post-implementation support.
Produce Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), process flow diagrams, and user stories for change initiatives and new product launches.
Support end-to-end delivery of cash management initiatives including cash pooling, sweeping/topping arrangements, notional pooling, and multi-currency account structures.
Conduct gap analysis between current and target operating models, identifying process inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Collaborate with Product Managers to support the design and rollout of new liquidity management solutions aligned with client and market demands.
Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure new products/features comply with SAMA regulations and internal governance frameworks.
Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case preparation, defect tracking, and sign-off coordination.
Analyze transaction and liquidity data to identify trends, client behavior, and areas for product enhancement.
Support RFP responses, client onboarding requirements, and due diligence documentation for corporate clients using liquidity/cash management services.
Prepare MI reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management on project status, product performance, and client usage.
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and ensure knowledge transfer to Operations and support teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CBAP, CCM (Certified Cash Manager), or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Corporate/Transaction/Wholesale Banking, with specific exposure to Cash Management and/or Liquidity Management products.
Proven experience working on cash management platforms (e.g., host-to-host connectivity, SWIFT, API banking, virtual accounts, liquidity structures).
Experience working within Saudi or GCC banking environments preferred; familiarity with SAMA regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology as well as traditional Waterfall project environments.
Track record of managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, IT, Operations, Compliance, Risk).
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of corporate banking liquidity concepts: cash pooling, sweeping, notional pooling, multi-currency/multi-entity structures, interest optimization.
Solid grasp of payment rails and cash management infrastructure (SARIE, SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, host-to-host, API connectivity).
Excellent business requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills (BRD/FSD, BPMN, UML basics).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and processes.
Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (or equivalent), and JIRA/Confluence.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
Fluency in English required; Arabic language proficiency strongly preferred given the local market focus.
High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of SAMA regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and general banking compliance standards.
Key Performance Indicators (Typical)
Timely and accurate delivery of BRDs/FSDs for assigned initiatives.
Successful UAT completion rates and minimal post-go-live defects.
