Project Overview
I'm looking for an experienced Zapier/API freelancer to build and test an automated SMS drip campaign workflow connecting Google Drive, Zapier, and Textable.
I will manually upload a CSV file containing approximately 500 new, opted-in phone numbers to a designated Google Drive folder each day.
Your job is to build the automation once. After setup, the workflow must run automatically whenever I upload a new CSV, without any further manual intervention.
Required Automation
1. Zapier detects a new CSV uploaded to the designated Google Drive folder.
2. Zapier reads the CSV and extracts the phone numbers.
3. Zapier creates or identifies the corresponding contacts in Textable using its API.
4. Zapier enrolls those contacts into one existing, reusable Textable drip campaign.
5. Textable sends the two predefined SMS messages:
- Message 1: Immediately upon enrollment.
- Message 2: Exactly 14 days (336 hours) after Message 1.
Both messages use the same fixed text for every contact. No personalization or daily message changes are required.
The automation must reuse the same Textable drip campaign for every CSV. It must not create a new campaign for each upload.
The workflow must prevent accidental duplicate enrollments or messages, handle failed API requests appropriately, and support approximately 500 contacts per uploaded CSV.

The documentation includes endpoints for creating contacts, retrieving existing drip campaigns, and enrolling contacts into a campaign.
The freelancer is responsible for the complete technical setup, including API authentication, required identifiers, contact mapping, Zapier configuration, and testing. I do not want to perform any technical setup myself.
Zapier is required. Please do not propose replacing it with another automation platform.
Payment Milestones
Milestone 1 — Complete Technical Feasibility Verification (25%)
Before building the full automation, verify through actual testing that:
- Zapier can authenticate with Textable and access the necessary API functions.
- A Google Drive CSV can be detected and its phone numbers extracted.
- Contacts can be created or identified and enrolled in the same reusable Textable drip campaign.
- The first SMS can be sent immediately and the second scheduled for exactly 14 days later.
- The proposed workflow can handle approximately 500 contacts per CSV, including overlapping campaigns, within applicable API and Zapier limits.
- Required subscription plans, permissions, and estimated recurring costs are identified.
Deliverable: A working test-contact proof of concept and a brief written feasibility assessment identifying any technical blockers.
The first milestone is payable for a completed, documented feasibility assessment even if testing establishes that the project is technically impossible. If the integration is infeasible, the project may end after this milestone without proceeding further.
Milestone 2 cannot begin until all requirements are confirmed technically achievable and I approve the operating costs.
Milestone 2 — Build the Automation (25%)
- Configure the complete Google Drive → Zapier → Textable workflow.
- Set up CSV processing, contact creation or identification, and enrollment into the reusable drip campaign.
- Implement duplicate prevention and basic error handling.
- Demonstrate successful processing of a test CSV.
Payment: Released after the automation is built and demonstrated.
Milestone 3 — Final Testing and Deployment (50%)
- Test the complete workflow from CSV upload through SMS delivery.
- Verify Message 1 sends immediately and Message 2 is delivered 14 days later.
- Confirm the workflow is ready for ongoing daily use.
- Provide a brief handover explaining how to monitor the automation and identify failures.
Payment: Released after successful final testing and acceptance.
Each milestone requires my approval before the next begins.
