Build Versatile Online Rental Platform

I’m starting a rental venture and need a full-featured web platform that can easily adapt to different categories—think homes, cars, or even specialty equipment—without hard-coding any one of them. The core features I’m after are the usual marketplace essentials: intuitive item listings, real-time availability, instant or request-based booking, secure payments, and a clean dashboard experience for three distinct roles: renters, owners, and an administrator who can step in to approve, settle disputes, or tweak fees.
A modern, component-based front end (React, Vue, or similar) talking to a scalable back end (Node, Laravel, Django—open to your recommendation) will keep future expansion straightforward. Please include user authentication, role-based permissions, and a responsive design so the experience feels native on mobile as well as desktop.
Deliverables
• Fully deployed, production-ready web app with source code
• Simple brand-neutral UI so I can layer design later
• Admin panel for user, listing, and transaction management
• Documentation: setup, tech stack, and API/endpoints
Acceptance criteria
1. A new user can register, list an item, and complete a paid booking in under ten minutes of guided testing.
2. The administrator can refund or cancel a booking from the dashboard, with the change reflected immediately across all parties.
3. Core pages score 90+ on Google Lighthouse mobile performance tests.
If you’ve built rental or marketplace systems before, show me a link or brief walkthrough so I can see how you handle listings, calendars, and payment workflows.
