Project: Custom AI telecalling platform for an Indian startup
About the project
We are building a custom AI telecalling platform that uses existing AI voice APIs and an authorized Indian telephony provider. We are not looking to train a speech or language model from scratch.
The first version must demonstrate natural Telugu conversations suitable for customers in Andhra Pradesh and automatically qualify leads from actual phone calls.
Required deliverables
1. A basic secure client/admin login and dashboard.
2. Lead upload using CSV and campaign creation.
3. Configurable Telugu call script and qualification questions.
4. Integration with an existing AI voice API and an appropriate Indian telephony provider.
5. Real outbound test calls with transparent AI identification.
6. Automatic call outcomes, lead classification, summaries and callback status.
7. Call usage and estimated cost reporting.
8. Opt-out handling, duplicate prevention, retry limits and basic access controls.
9. Deployment, documentation, source code and handover.
Preferred skills
- Backend development using Python/FastAPI or equivalent.
- Frontend development using React/Next.js or equivalent.
- PostgreSQL or a comparable managed database.
- Experience with real-time voice APIs, audio streaming and telephony integration.
- Webhooks, authentication, logging, error handling and secure API-key management.
- Ability to demonstrate an existing voice or telephony integration.
