About the app
Wardrobe Formula is an existing iOS app, live in the US App Store. Using body measurements and appearance type, its AI builds a capsule wardrobe — a small set of items that work together as complete outfits.
What we need
Make the capsule shoppable: each item maps to a real, in-stock product in a US fashion store, linked to buy on the store's site. The app earns an affiliate commission on purchases through that link. The app does not sell goods or take payment.
This is NOT a build from scratch. We need a backend developer to take over an existing app/backend, audit someone else's code, and extend it carefully, working with our iOS developer.
Phase 1 — paid audit (fixed, small scope)
Audit the backend and its iOS integration: stack, repository, data model, capsule logic, API. Confirm feasibility and the feed/matching architecture, and deliver a written estimate and plan for Phase 2. A fixed price for the full feature is possible only after this audit.
Phase 2 — MVP (after audit)
Server-side feed ingestion from one affiliate network first — Impact — for 10–20 US fashion retailers, refreshed daily.
Normalised catalogue: product ID, brand, name, price, currency, photo, URL, tracked affiliate link, sizes, availability, category, colour.
Matching only to real catalogue products; no exact match is shown honestly as a similar item, never as the same item.
Click flow: "Buy in [store]" opens the tracked deep link and logs our click ID for reconciliation.
Admin/report view: clicks, conversions and commissions from network reports; REST API, admin panel, performance and security.
