Project Update: ROUGE X — Full App, Backend & Admin Portal Development
This updates my previous post seeking technical oversight. I’m now requesting quotes for complete software development, including station integration, deployment and handover.
ROUGE X is a portable power bank rental business launching in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Customers will locate a kiosk, rent a power bank and return it to any participating station.
Development scope:
* Customer app for iOS and Android; please identify your proposed approach.
* Account registration, login, station map, QR scanning, rental history and receipts.
* Payment integration, rental pricing, deposits/preauthorizations, refunds and promotional credits.
* Station integration for dispensing power banks, tracking availability and confirming returns.
* Admin portal for managing stations, customers, rentals, pricing, venue revenue shares and reports.
* Station health monitoring, error alerts and troubleshooting tools.
* Deployment within an AWS account owned and controlled by ROUGE X.
* Testing, documentation and complete source code handover into our repository.
The manufacturer offers two integration options:
1. Manufacturer API: Our software communicates with their server to control stations. They state there is no API fee.
2. Direct TCP integration: Stations connect directly to our server using the manufacturer’s communication protocol.
Please quote these options separately and identify what documentation, sample code and hardware you need before confirming a fixed price.
Budget: Our initial target is $6,000–$7,000 for development. Please provide your realistic quote and explain what can be delivered within that budget, with any additional features priced separately.
We anticipate starting around December 8, 2026, with an initial target of 4–6 weeks and a planned launch in Q2 2027. Please confirm a realistic schedule for development, testing and handover.
Include in your proposal:
* Total fixed price with milestone payments.
* Itemized costs for the app, backend, admin portal and station integration.
* Relevant rental, IoT, payment or connected hardware projects.
* Proposed technology stack and team.
* Estimated monthly hosting and third-party service costs.
* Post-delivery bug-fix coverage and ongoing maintenance rates.
* Any exclusions, recurring fees or dependencies on the manufacturer.
Please distinguish a working demonstration from a production-ready launch system in your pricing and timeline.
