Build FitBug AI Wellness App Prototype

We’re looking for an experienced mobile app designer and React Native developer to design and build a working, interactive **iOS and Android mobile app prototype** for FitBug, a wellness platform centred on a personalized AI companion and professional coaching.

This project is for a mobile app—not a website or static screen presentation. We need a realistic app experience that can later connect to our existing backend services.

**Who the app serves**

FitBug supports several perspectives:

- **Individuals and families:** Personal wellbeing, coach discovery and subscriptions, messaging, diet and exercise plans, guided workouts, food logging, progress tracking, preventive wellness, family meals and grocery budgeting.
- **Coaches and professionals:** Client conversations, assessments, assigned routines, sessions, progress reviews and recommendations for further professional care.
- **Businesses:** Employee/member wellness programmes, participation management and appropriate reporting.
- **Communities:** Group activities, wellness initiatives, challenges and engagement.
- **Government/public programmes:** Programme administration, outreach, participation and aggregate reporting, with appropriate privacy and access controls.

**We will provide user journeys for each perspective.** You will help refine them, identify gaps, and translate them into simple navigation and complete mobile app workflows.

**The FitBug companion**

The companion is central to the app. It should provide brief, contextual greetings based on available logs, goals, routines, time of day and reported energy or stress.

Conversations should retain context, understand where the user entered chat, and avoid asking repeatedly for known information. Diet and exercise routines should be assigned only after discussion with the companion or a professional.

The companion should understand assigned coach routines, while private messages and other sensitive information remain subject to explicit sharing permissions.

For this prototype, realistic scripted responses and dummy data are acceptable. Actual AI model training is outside the initial scope.

- A consistent design system and reusable components
- A working Expo/React Native/TypeScript app prototype for iOS and Android
- Functional interactions, realistic sample data and saved progress
- Loading, empty, error, confirmation and permission states
- Source code, setup instructions and developer handover

**Ready for backend integration**

Our stack includes Expo, React Native, TypeScript, Expo Router, React Query and Supabase.

The mobile frontend must separate UI components, business rules and data access. Simulated services should use clearly defined interfaces so they can later be replaced with our actual backend services. Please document integration points and clearly identify simulated functionality.

**Delivery approach**

We prefer milestone-based delivery: agree the journeys and design system, complete one end-to-end individual member experience, then expand to the other perspectives.
