Project Description — Cloud Architecture & IT Security (Infomaniak Public Cloud)

Hello Freelancer
We are a FinTech operating the productline broker.ai and are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps / IT Security Engineer to build and secure our Infomaniak Public Cloud environment using IaC scripts, security driven architecture, and reproducible deployment processes.
This project is ideal for senior freelancers who enjoy clean architecture, automation, security first engineering and building cloud environments that scale reliably.

Scope of Work
You will design, script and secure our cloud environment on Infomaniak Public Cloud (IaaS). Key areas include:
• Infrastructure scripting (Multi-VM architecture, network, firewall)
• Security hardening (access model, MFA, secrets, TLS, least privilege)
• VPN setup for internal team
• Monitoring & backup automation
• Documentation for reproducible rebuilds
• Preparation for external Pen Test
This is a technical- & security critical project. We expect senior level quality, clear documentation and reliable delivery.

Milestone Structure
Milestone 1 – Architecture & IaC Foundation
Deliverables:
• Finalised cloud architecture blueprint/Concept in Format .docx
• IaC scripts for VM creation, networking, firewall rules
• Reproducible Test environment (“run script → environment exists”)
Status: Work begins after NDA Payment: Released upon successful deployment

Milestone 2 – Security Hardening & Access Model
Deliverables:
• MFA protected admin access
• Least privilege role model
• Secure secrets handling
• TLS/Edge configuration
• File upload security architecture (no parsing required)
Payment: Released after security review

Milestone 3 – VPN Setup & Access Documentation
Deliverables:
• Secure VPN for internal team
• Access rules & connection documentation
• No permanent external admin access
• Preparation for login/interface for external Dev-Ops company
Payment: Released after successful connection test

Milestone 4 – Monitoring & Backup Automation
Deliverables:
• Monitoring scripts (logs, alerts, system health)
• Automated backup routines
• Restore test procedure for Test environment
Payment: Released after successful restore test

Milestone 5 – Final Documentation & Handover
Deliverables:
• Full rebuild documentation
• Security checklist
• Operational handover package
Payment: Released upon acceptance

Who We Are Looking For
• Senior DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer/Architect
• Strong IaC scripting experience
• Solid IT Security background
• Experience with VPN, monitoring, backup automation
• Reliable, independent, documentation focused
