Brick Foundation First Layer Construction

I need the very first course of a brick foundation set accurately and ready for the rest of the build. The job starts at ground level, so you will handle everything from establishing a true, level base to laying that initial row of bricks with clean, even joints.

The priority is precision: the line must be perfectly straight, the bricks plumb, and the mortar beds consistent so the next layers can rise without correction work. If you normally take care of the prep—light excavation, compacting, and damp-proof course placement—feel free to include that in your approach; I’m open to whichever method ensures a stable start.
