Bookkeeping: Record Sales & Purchases

I’m looking for a reliable bookkeeper to keep my ledgers current by recording every sales and purchase transaction I send you. You will receive scanned invoices, receipts, and periodic exports from my POS system; your task is to enter them promptly into my accounting software (QuickBooks Online is preferred, though Xero or similar works if you already have a streamlined workflow).

Scope
• Focus strictly on data entry for sales and purchase transactions.
• Code each item to the correct chart-of-accounts line, tax category, and, where relevant, project/class tag.
• No reconciliations or management reports are required right now—just clean, complete, and accurate journals I can later build on.

Turnaround & Accuracy
Transactions should be posted within two business days of receipt, balanced to the cent against the source documents, and free of duplicate entries. I’ll spot-check totals weekly; any variances must be explained or corrected within 24 hours.

The final deliverable is an up-to-date, error-free transaction log inside my bookkeeping file, ready for my review at month-end.
